Terms of sale

Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. Seller, scope and consumer protection

These terms govern consumer purchases from the Husdjurskonst online store. Contact and seller information identifies the seller. Swedish law applies, including the Consumer Sales Act and Distance Contracts Act. If you live elsewhere, you also retain mandatory consumer protection available in your country under applicable conflict-of-law rules. These terms do not restrict those rights.

2. Ordering and contract formation

You must have legal capacity to enter the contract; under-18s normally need a guardian's permission. Check your cart, product choices, content and delivery details before purchasing. You must be shown the total price and clearly understand that the order creates an obligation to pay.

The contract is concluded once payment is authorised and we send an order confirmation confirming the purchase. We cannot arbitrarily change or reject a confirmed order. An obvious mistake you knew or should have recognised is governed by general contract law. Contact us if your confirmation is missing or incorrect.

3. Products, workmanship and customer content

The product description and choices agreed at purchase determine what you receive. Portraits, prints and accessories must conform to the contract and statutory requirements. Personalisation, artistic interpretation or screen-to-print differences do not remove our responsibility for defects. Proofs, revisions and timelines follow what was actually promised for your product.

You must have the right to use photos, text and other material you upload. You grant a limited, non-exclusive right to process and adapt that material to create, deliver and support your order. Purchase does not give us a general right to use your photo or portrait in advertising. Marketing use requires a separate legal basis and necessary permissions.

4. Prices and payment

Prices to Swedish consumers include applicable VAT. Shipping and any other charges are disclosed before ordering. The price and currency you approve at checkout apply. Any estimated display in another currency must be identified as such. Available payment methods appear at checkout; Stripe processes payments. We do not receive your full card details.

5. Delivery, cancellation, withdrawal and defects

The Shipping policy and Returns, withdrawal and faulty goods policy form part of these terms. Personalised goods may be exempt from withdrawal but still have statutory protection against defects. Print-on-demand alone does not justify an exception. Other purchases have statutory withdrawal rights unless a lawful exception applies.

Separate services and digital content have their own applicable rules; see the returns policy. We do not assume withdrawal rights automatically end on payment or download. Contact us at info@husdjurskonst.se.

6. Gift cards

A gift card's value, validity and any usage restrictions must be disclosed before purchase and in the confirmation. Statutory withdrawal rights apply unless an applicable exception exists. Email delivery alone does not end those rights.

7. Liability and personal data

We are responsible under applicable law for defects, delays and compensable loss. We do not use a general “as is” disclaimer for consumer goods. Payment, printing and delivery partners do not take over our responsibilities as seller. The Privacy policy explains data processing; it is information, not blanket consent. Also read the Cookie policy.

8. Dispute resolution

Contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, if its admissibility requirements are met. You may also bring a claim before a competent court. Applicable rights to bring proceedings where you live are preserved.

9. Changes

The terms in effect when the contract was concluded govern your purchase. New terms apply to future purchases. The date above shows when this text was last updated.
